Help my boss pick a shop car!!

My boss wants to get a shop car either this summer or next. He is eyeing a GTR, which I’m totally on board with, but what other options are there?

The only required things as of now are it must be around 150k total, look good wrapped (company name, etc), and some form of exotic.

Depends on the company. The GTR is fun and awesome and draws a crowd, but they can get very expensive to keep on the road if the yobs from the shop are driving it like they stole all of the time.

Keep in mind when your company name is tacked onto the side of things, ripping down the highway at extra-legal things is not great advertising.

Unless you sell radar/lidar jammers, then it’s great advertising.

What type of shop is it? While not an Exotic (and not new), I still think an SSR would make a great promo vehicle.

GTR is a terrible choice, limited space for graphics, can’t carry much, semi-unreliable. The answer is always one vehicle, not a stupid Miata, UNIMOG!

As much as ‘m not a huge fan of the GTR, it’s pretty perfect for this purpose.

-It’s big with very flat sides (Lots of great space for advertising)
-Imposing
-Draws a crowd
-Desirable

Pretty much everything you’d want.

Yea that would cool too, might even attract more attention. I see at least one Italian exotic per week. I can count on one hand the number of NSX’s I’ve seen and most of those have been at car shows.

As a detail company, you need something more beautiful than a GTR. Amazing car yes, but attractive, ehhh.

For $150k, I’d go with two cars and double your exposure. Used Jaaaag F-Type and new Corvette GrandSport. The widebody GS looks great and would look amazing with a nice wrap.

If you can only spend that on one car, Aston V12 Vantage S , Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 , or maybe a Ferrari California .

It falls short of your $150k total, but how about an E63 wagon? It hauls ass, has loads of flat space for a wrap, and you can haul displays or supplies to events.
